truth be told

"Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you." Jeremiah 31:3 (NKJ)

I went for a walk this afternoon to enjoy the beautiful weather (what an amazing September we're having!) and to get out of the house since I've only been out of it for a total of an hour or so this weekend.

Anyway, as I'm walking what do I find???
I'll give you 2 hints.
1. They open something
2. I lost them on Wednesday night.

Ding ding ding!! I found my keys! It was so amazing and so God because they were hidden in a little pile of leaves beside the sidewalk where Francesca first "introduced" herself to me! Woo WHOO!

I love when God reveals Himself even in the smallest things. I wasn't even looking for my keys and He simply gave them back. Thank you Jesus!

Last night was my night at home. I wrote out a huge story about the events of my evening in detail but sometimes reading stories on blogs can be very long so I'll just summarize.

Got home. Read Bible. Thought it would be good to go for walk (6:00ish). Took mp3 player with good teaching on it, water and keys. Looong walk. Started to run and was chased by huge roaring dog named Francesca - twice. She never ate me. Ran a little longer and my mp3 player flew out of my pocket and almost hit a blue Mustang. Dang. Good thing it didn't. Got home. Reached for my keys - they were gone! Must have fallen out during my run. All of my roommates were gone and all the doors were locked. It was getting dark. Re-traced my steps searching for my keys in the dark. To no luck. While walking home I was bit by a dog. It didn't hurt too bad because he didn't chomp down...he just "mouthed" my leg. I could feel his mouth on my leg for a good ten minutes after that. Got home again. Decided I should take advantage of this opportunity and spend some good time with Jesus on my porch. I prayed and worshipped and got quite distracted and very cold. I ran to my neighbours house (9:45ish) and found refuge in a Mary Kay party until about 11 o'clock. I got home, went to bed without supper and slept well.

Note to self: Maybe next time I have a night at home I should stay at home.

I love autumn. i love when the colours change. i love the warm weather with a slight breeze. i love the pumpkin spice lattes at Starbuck's. haa haa. i even love the smell of fall on the off chance that my allergies are not freaking out and I can actually breathe. it's wonderful!

I'm loving my home and my roommates! Kendra, Annie Marcia and I went to "Over the Hedge" at the cheapies last Saturday. It was so fun! I'm excited about spending this next year(s) with these amazing, fun and beautiful ladies!

Also, I'm in the process of "re-defining" how to spend my time. This is way harder than it sounds. It's a good process, though. My paradigms seem to be so tainted by my humanistic nature that I feel like I need to retrain my mind and heart with the perspective of eternal reality. How's that for a mouthful? How's that for a process?
